Gallery 2 | Yuta Niwa solo exhibition "Namazu Park"

Namazu Park, 2021

Using traditional Japanese painting techniques and materials, Niwa creates works using motifs such as giant salamanders and catfish to symbolize disasters such as earthquakes and infectious diseases.

This exhibition will feature " Namazu Park," an installation work using catfish-shaped spring rider, a bicycle picture card show, paintings, presented as the unit "Thumb Princess" with Takanori Shimodera as a food stall researcher, as well as new work created for this exhibition.

His work will also be on display in the same space as the “The various eye to see things” exhibition held in the adjacent Gallery 1.

This exhibit ponders the question of how to capture and face that which cannot be seen.
