The exhibition “Secrets of the Kimono: The Advent of Yuzen Dyeing” delves into the thought processes behind the art of kimono-making, where tradition flows seamlessly between the three-dimensional and the two-dimensional.

Chiso has offered special cooperation for this exhibition, contributing a significant number of works and providing full curatorial support through its extensive collection, shaped by Kyoto's deeply rooted history of craftsmanship. This showcase illuminates the cultural sensibilities that continue to thrive in modern Kyoto.

Having premiered at The National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto in July 2025, this exhibition travels to Niigata Prefectural Museum of Modern Art in 2026.
