CHISO Holdings Co., Ltd. has been awarded the “Medal with Dark Blue Ribbon (Konju Hosho)” in recognition of its longstanding contributions to Kyoto City through the donation of kimono. The initiative began in 1987 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Chiso's incorporation and has continued ever since. The company's ongoing commitment to donating kimono to Kyoto City has now been officially recognized with this prestigious honor.

The presentation ceremony was held at Chiso's headquarters on August 6, 2026.

<About Chiso's Kimono Donations>
As a gesture of gratitude to the local community, whose support has enabled Chiso to continue its business over the years, the company has donated kimono to Kyoto City annually since 1987. The 2026 donation marks the 37th such contribution.
The donated kimono are made available through the Kyoto City Single-Parent Family Support Center's Kimono Lending Program, where they are loaned to single-parent families and their children for occasions when traditional attire is needed.
