Narrative of colors — Season 2 “Kuro (Black)” will start

“Kuro (Black)”,  the second season of the exhibition “Narrative of colors” will start on March 6th at Chiso gallery.

Black comes from darkness.  Taking this as its concept, the exhibition will present night scenery works. Along with hangingscrolls “Cat in the Moonlight” and “Skull in the moonlight”, it will also showcase black wedding costumes and tomesode (married women's formal kimono). 

Held at the same time ― New pursuit for beauty

“New pursuit for beauty - CHISO as culture keeper” will hold at the project space, next to the Chiso gallery from the same day as “Narrative of colors”. It shall introduce the story of the Uchikake kimono made by Chiso has been welcomed as a new piece to the collection of the Worcester Art Museum(WAM), Massachusetts, USA.

The exhibition development through its concept, design, and techniques behind together with the photographs and miniature of kimono pieces.

Hope that visitors would enjoy to see Chiso's craftsmanship that to create new beauty through incorporating inherited culture and style.
