Step into the exhibition space and you will encounter lines—on canvas, on walls, etched into the air itself. Yet these are not simply lines. They are sculptural marks, carefully carved by Yokomizo into matter and into space.

This exhibition reflects the Chiso Gallery’s annual theme for this year, “Connection Points with the World,” through Yokomizo’s artistic practice. The theme invites us to recognize beauty and value through moments of awareness. Likewise, the lines in Yokomizo’s work reveal themselves only when the viewer becomes attuned to their intention—appearing, for instance, as the shimmer of light across water, or as a space transformed by a sculptural gesture.

In meeting these works, discover your own point of contact with the world, and the landscapes that quietly emerge.
